None of them mention Love, Actually, the hugely popular Christmas movie
Plot
Helen begins a passionate affair with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is. In the spotlight when her lover falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, Helena’s employer enlists Sam to protect her. There is a scene where the characters discuss their favorite Christmas movies.
Not sure what to make of this one
That’s probably because Keira Knightly stars in both movies. Graham Norton and guests: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). I listened to all six episodes in one day and enjoyed most of them.
But there was something that felt off
Everything Keira and Ben Whishaw will always be available to watch. The writers and producers/directors didn’t seem to have decided what the tone should be. Was it a straight political thriller with action?
Still very watchable
Or was it an action-type John Wick with political overtones? It was basically an exact average of the two. I think it would have been a lot better if it had moved away from the ridiculous John Wick stuff and tried to ground it a little more in the real world, where possible actions had possible consequences.
