In 1961, an unknown 19-year-old Bob Dylan arrives in New York City with his guitar. He develops relationships with Greenwich Village music icons during his meteoric rise, culminating in a breakthrough performance that resonates around the world. According to an October 2020 interview with Collider, cinematographer Phedon Papamichael said that the studios’ newly announced COVID precautions were expected to put the Bob Dylan film project on the back burner. As a result, Papamichael and director James Mangold were expected to move on to other projects. «I don’t think it’s dead,» Papamichael said of Chalamet’s biopic. «But it’s hard to do in the COVID era because it’s all set in small clubs with a lot of extras in period costumes, so you have a lot of hair and makeup. So our next project is actually Indiana Jones 5 (2022). Mangold is doing it.
