When Freddy Lupin’s wayward wish turns him into a werewolf and brings a mischievous moon disk to Earth, Freddy must restore cosmic order before Earth and the Moon collide. The pink-maned «Freddy» looks more like a poodle than a wolf, but he is eager to help a team of lupine superheroes who are trying to help those in trouble! Tired of being stopped all the time, he looks up at the sky and makes a wish. Next, a moon spirit «Moopoo» comes in front of him, and he is no longer squeamish. But here’s the thing: his new blue friend needs life energy to survive, so they must find a way to get him back to the moon with his own kind, or disaster will befall us! There’s only one way to do this, and that’s the «Max» feature – an outcast wolf who lives deep in the forest and has the necessary magic. They set out to find him, but an angry «Max» sets off. Does he even want to help them, or does he have his own cunning plan to take revenge on those who drove him away? It’s a really fun family adventure, but it’s hard to find an audience. The very young probably won’t appreciate the sense of (tea) menace, especially towards the end – and the slightly older ones will probably be put off by Freddy’s initially rather childish portrayal. Twenty minutes is probably too long, but as a simple, light drama it delivers on its promise, touching on the ambitions we all have when we’re young and want to fit in, be led and appreciated. Unforgettable stuff, but decently animated and well worth watching.
